Apply to be a Japan Ambassador – Info Meeting May 2 or 4
Students entering grades 8 – 10 in the fall can apply to be a Japan Ambassador! Informational meetings will be held on May 2nd and 4th. More information can be found here: Apply to Be a Japan Ambassador

Ready Set School
The application period for assistance from Ready Set School is now open from April 15 through May 31. This program assists Winona County students in purchasing school supplies and clothing for the 2024-2025 school year. Families with children and teens entering kindergarten through grade 12 in Winona County in Fall 2024 that qualify for food support, housing/rent subsidy, and/or TANF benefits are eligible to apply. Only one application per family is required.
After completing the free application, vouchers are mailed to families in July. The vouchers are valid through September 15 at local participating retailers. Applications are online only at www.readysetschoolwinona.org/
Explorers of the Week
Two of the many Bluffview Montessori Students demonstrating virtuous behavior this week:
Xavier (Xay) Mangum is a 4th grade student in Ms. Amy’s E2A classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of helpfulness when he offered to help clean up a classmate’s spot. Xay’s favorite subject in the classroom is science, and he loves Bluffview because of the really nice staff. Xay’s favorite activities outside of school are playing the nintendo switch, watching tv, watching his fish, and playing with his cats. He wants to be a YouTuber or work at the Georgia Aquarium when he grows up. Xay is the son of Daddio & Tiffany Mangum.
Willa Tillinghast is a Kindergarten student in Mr. Josh’s CH1 classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtues of commitment and friendliness when she focused on her work plan all week and helped peers when they needed it. Willa’s favorite work in the classroom is sewing line, and she loves Bluffview because there are a lot of new people to meet. Willa’s favorite activity outside of school is playing outside with her friends, and she wants to be a singer and play the guitar when she grows up. Willa is the daughter of Emily & Nathan Tillinghast.

Kinley Kugel is a 6th grade student in Mrs. Kaul’s E2A classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of service when she helped E1 students fill out their book fair wish lists. Kinley’s favorite subjects in the classroom are math and science, and she loves Bluffview because of her friends and teachers. Kinley’s favorite activities outside of school are embroidery, running outside, and road trips with family. She wants to be a conservationist when she grows up. Kinley is the daughter of Danielle & Jon Kugel.
Corbin Guyer is a 2nd grade student in Ms. Amy’s E1A classroom who was recognized this week for displaying the virtue of helpfulness when he picked up a box from the firelane and delivered it to the recycling bin. Corbin’s favorite subject in the classroom is math, and he loves Bluffview because there are a lot of good friends to make and he wants to take over his dad’s business when he grows up. Corbin is the son of Corey Guyer and Trisha Berg.
